Tent and Livestock Classes

Entering one of the many classes at the Bishop Wilton show really does add a little bit of excitement to the day. Whether its livestock, a vintage car, or one of the 350 judged tent classes. There really is something for everyone. Although all the classes can be fund in the schedule, please see below for all the specific classes to the different area. For a copy of the do's and don't please click below. We encourage as many people to enter as possible, the more the merrier.

Horse + Pony Classes 2024

2024 classes are now live. Showjumping is still to be confirmed.

Northern Counties Pony Association - Affiliation number255/24

 ×  This show is a qualifier for the NCPA Pony of the Year Show.

×  First and second prize winners in appropriate classes will qualify.

Dog Classes

  • All entries taken on the show field on the day at the Dog Zone
  • FUN DOG SHOW - Entries from 11:00* judging starts at 13:30*
  • Entry Fee £1.00 per class. Rosettes 1st to 4th place.

Bishop Wilton Show is a dog friendly event so please bring along your canine friend and enjoy a great day out.

Rules for the Tent Classes

2) Exhibitors must provide their own trays, dishes, plates etc.

3) Entry fees: 50p per entry, £4 unlimited entries.

4) All entrance fees must be paid at the Horticultural Tent and entries will betaken on the morning of the show, from 08:00am

5) All exhibits to be in the Show Tent by 10.30am on the morning of the show. Judging to commence at 11am when the tent will be closed. No exhibits to be removed before 4.30pm. All prize money paid out at the Secretary’s Tent at 4.30pm.

Horticultural Tent Classes

We encourage as many people as possible to enter their homegrown produce into this year's show. Here are some guide notes for showing your entries.

  • Route vegetables should be washed.
  • Brassicas should have a 3 inch stem
  • Fruits should be exhibited on a plate and they should have a 1 inch stalk attache
  • All exhibits should be fresh, pest and disease free with unblemished skins.

Children's Classes

We encourage as many children as possible to enter their work in this year's show. Whether it has been done at school or at home , all entries are welcome, and who knows you may be able to win a prize for your school!

  • Entries from any child and all schools are welcome.
  • Entries can be simply brought to the children's tent on the show field on the day
  • There are trophies to be won including special recognition for outstanding pieces of work
